Most cables are the same size on the drive end---there is a 'repair kit' available from NAPA (and HELP too I think) that is the internal drive cable itself and a crimping tool. Costs about 5 bucks. You can make the cable whatever length you like, just follow the directions and take your time. It might be easier to measure how long a cable you want and find an understanding parts guy to help you search the books for a stock one the correct length. NAPA's parts books are quite good for this kind of work. Hit the parts guy up on a slow day and bribe him with a six pack of his choice and you'll have a friend in the parts business for life---a good thing if you drive a Cobra! I think I ended up using one from a '66 Mustang automatic and it was the right length. Should be available from Canadian Mustang, yes??
