Well I think 1300 hp is possible, my big question is:

Will it LIVE at that HP output?

It is well known that a 302, for instance, can make over 600 hp, but reliability goes to hell. It will not "live" making more than that. Typically HP numbers are given with the understanding it is in an "ideal" environment. Therefore it is a "guideline". 1300 hp on a dyno on a cool day, the engine set up perfectly is STILL very impressive AND can be done! 1300 hp on the street? No way. and if so, NOT for long! Still,,,,,,,,it's going to make some serious HP, even if it is less than 1300 on the dyno vs the street.

Now HERES some interesting HP numbers for you:

A Funny car engine, 5000+ HP (for maybe 7 or 8 seconds, ha ha), uses 400 HP JUST TO RUN THE BLOWER! The fuel pumps (two or more usually) require 30 HP per unit. Just a couple of "numbers" on HP making. If the car "idles" for more than 15 secs it uses SO much fuel it affects the "weight transfer" on launch. The fuel injectors spray so much fuel under wide open throttle it makes your "shower head" look like a dribble. Each of the 16 spark plugs fire with 40 AMPS of power (you can WELD with that much power). 1300 HP for a 427? No problem! How long it will make that kind of HP? BIG PROBLEM!
