Car is sold today. I am really happy with the deal and the buyer. Thanks to all for your interest.
Regards, Art
Well, the continued medical costs after my illness (some of you know, heart surgery, amputation of left leg), and the cost of the medical malpractice case are having their toll after all these years.
The good news is the case will be over soon (Feb, 2003), and the bad news is the lawyers insist I sell both of my cherished cars.
My Cobra is a purpose built bracket racer, retired in 1994. It has an all aftermarket engine based on a modified Bow Tie racing block. Since it's retirement in 1994 (best ET, pump gas, street tires, 11.54), my kids and I have cleaned it up (original old paint), and made it look more like a '60's style Cobra.
It has been utterly reliable, is lightening fast, yet has the unique charistic of:
being fun for anyone to drive!
That's right, we have taught many young people, including quite a few St Jude Cancer Patients, how to drive in this car. My wife and girls drive it on a regular basis.
The car is really "right", and the price is stunning, but appropriate for the situation: $23,000 for the car, with all it's history, and a trailer seperately, $2000, or $1000 with the car. So car with trailer is $24000!
