You guys are refering to my earlier post about roll bars. I think the problem is that back in the sixties Cobras on track were driven by mostly competent racers who knew how to drive a racecar before they ever saw a Cobra. Today we have a bunch of Yahoos (me included) driving these semi racecars on tracks at speed with little or no experience. Guys are getting hurt because they are clueless about the handling dificulties of these little homebuilt deathtraps. (that also includes street driving).
We read here almost daily about difficulties in getting these cars insured. The insurance co.'s know we are out there and they probably know we take these things on the track.

If you don't want to do track time, that is alright with me but if you do than use the best protection you can build into the car and that is not a skimpy little single hoop. You need a full width bar and also side protection. You owe that to your wife and kids.

Geeze I'm starting to sound like Kputz.

Guys be careful out there.
