Default Dumb carb question

I have a 302 engine with a Holley 1850 Carb. Currently, I have the fuel inlet and throttle on the drivers side of the car which has a short run of fuel line to the fuel pump on the drivers side. I have seen a lot of cars with the inlet on the passengers side? What is the best way? One think I am noticing is that it is a little difficult to run the throttle cable without tight bends and without touching the headers.

Thoughts?
Tom
