Default The Nick Nero award

This year our club lost a very important member, Nick Nero.

Nick was involved with Cobras since the beginning.
He purchased several Cobras from Shelby himself, then successfully campaigned them in SCCA events.

We were fortunate to have Nick involved in our club. Here was a guy that had an original Cobra and was not afraid to drive it. He attended many cruises and open track events with the club. He loved talking Cobras, real or replicas.

He also felt that it was important for everyone to know their car. That is why we felt that the autocross would be a fitting event for his award.

He will be dearly missed.

This is a picture of Nick's Cobra at Heartland Park in Topeka, KS. He drove it 70 miles on the highway to get to the track, and then home to KC.

Cheers Nick.
