Moving on.......There are way too many people that think intake ports that can swallow a tennis ball are the ticket to power/going fast.
The TP was designed for NASCAR competition.And compete it did.It actually kept up with the Hemi's on short tracks.In the late 60's Pontiac stole the TP design and called it the Ram-Air V.It never made it into a production car as street performance was abysmal.
Velocity is the key in filling the cylinders at lower(street RPMs)speeds.You don't get that with ports you can stick your hand down and feel the carbon build up on the valve stems.
There are always exceptions but in general TP's ain't a good idea for the street.
