custom holley 780 fully enclosed in 'something like' a 'cold air pan', ie, inside a fully enclosed paxton supercharger carb bonnet fighting for air on start up . NO CHOKE in tundra michigan, weather similar to yours. I just play with the throttle with continual gas pedal blips as needed until it warms up enough to idle as it should ( takes a couple of minutes) , as it starts to die i blip it to keep it running. i have talked to several bb folks with big domiinator carbs and many of them do the same having disconnected their choke. bill. .
