Cool Cal Metal - HELP!

Cal,

With a set of Webs I purchased, the seller gave me two, what I beleive to be, K&N filter units. These are made up of an aluminum top and base that sandwiches a 17" long, 5 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall K&N filter in between. The bottom unit attaches to the top of two of the 48s; I believe you take off the stacks and the mesh screens from two inline carbs and the base bolts into the stack and screen bolt holes. The filter unit sits on the base and is held in place by the top aluminum cover and one flush fitting hex bolt. There is another identical unit that fits on the other two carbs.

I am looking for some gaskets to go between the bottom piece and the top of the Webs. And I have no idea how old the filter units are; so, I would like to replace them. By the way, they are the wash and re-oil type element.

I looked through http://www.knfilters.com/default.htm and couldn't find anything close. I also looked at Pierce and Ingelese and came up empty. Got any suggestions?

I was going to e-mail this question to you, but since the 48s are coming back into production, your answer will be beneficial to others. I believe these filters will be better than the individual screen filters; Yes No?

Any problems with this type of filter?

Thanks for your help.
