Wink My opinion

KJ,

I do not know why there is a beef with FFR's. I really don't know that there is one? I own one. I am proud of it. I get compliments on it everytime I drive it. I get bombarded with questions and people who know someone that has a real one (ha-ha). So my experience with mine is probably like those who own other brands.

I chose FFR because I liked the concept (I love and have owned a lot of Mustangs) of using a one donor concept from my 2nd favorite car. Like the late model Mustangs they are good bang for the buck. I wanted to build it myself. Superformance was a big thought and a great car, but I wanted to build it.

I have seen some FFRs that I would not own, nor want to ride in. I have seen other brands that I feel the same about. I have seen $50,000 plus FFR's that are as nice a car as you can own. The FFR's perform very well in competition.

So in my opinion there is nothing wrong with FFR's. Cobras are the coolest cars in the world period. And that's an opinion too.

Another point: This past Saturday I was in a car show at a dragstrip for their All Ford day. There were two FFR's, one Mid-states, and two Superformance in the show. All of us got a plaque (all in the top 50). We were all happy. I was the happiest because I also ran mine. No one else did, and that was there preference just like their choice of car. I ended up running my buddy every run. He owns a Hunter. I love his car too except for the 350 Chevy powering it. But he chose it, it's a Cobra, and I like it!

Like Fords and Chevy's, whatever you like.
