Unless you absolutely have to have a numbers matching car, there is no reason to bore a 390 or 428 block .060 over. These blocks are readily available.

Under no circumstances should you bore a 427 more than .030. They start with a thin wall to begin with. It would be better to run a 427 with 8 sleeves rather than boring one .060 oversize.
