I want to thank, Jeff Tom and Rick who responded - It saved me from a fate worse that sleeping on a sunny day- got to drive the Cobra. I obviously need to do more research before I make any decisions on building this motor. I purchaced the motor- actually the whole car(1967 Tbird) in anticipation of building my own ERA. But five years ago I decided I wanted to driver sooner rather than later and purchaced ERA #351 from Hugh Pennel in Vermont. He and his son with the help of ERA put together my beautiful car. Unfortunately they did not supply me with a build sheet on the 428 that is in the car which I could use as a guide or based line in preparing the second motor. I haven't even pulled the motor yet. Once I do I be back to Tom for some input. OR Some of the other FE owners could share your cam experiences with me.
What cam are you using and are you happy with performance on the street and/or on the track. I know that there are many variables involved ie. pistons, rods, crank and heads as well as fuel delivery and compression ratios that will effect the final HP and Torque curves of any engine build.
Thanks for your input.
