Chuck,
Just finished felting the bottom of my cover to use for that purpose. Another member, Russ T. and I were talking about the ablity of the tonneau cover scratching the body. The edging of the matieral buttoning down/ taking off and wind flapping at the doors by both tonneau cover and soft tops prove to leave small but noticeable scratches. His fix for that was self adhesive felt applied to the area that came in contact with the body. So, for my next outing in cold weather I will be using the cover as you suggested and hopefully without any scratches left behind. Thanks, hope to meet you at one of the get togethers at Athen's.
