I am pretty well committed to the TKO II by now. frame has been modified to accept one rather than a Toplader. Wheteher I will be happy with it or not remains to be seen. I am not a fan of shifting a bunches of times. A 6 speed would have driven me crazy, even if it might have yielded a better performing car and better gas mileage.

Thanks. I found the knob on the mustangs Unlimited website. If the one being donated doesn't do it, that will be my next choice, since it alredy has the pattern engraved on it.

Only on Club Cobra you can ask for a knob and get a full blown lesson on transmissions. If I had asked for what is the best transmission, this thread could have gone forever.
