Ernie - stop hankering after that MGC. Had one back in my early days. It would re-define "push" for you. All the weight of that iron 6 cyl plus the world renowned (LOL) MG front suspenison = terminal understeer. Brakes weren't up to much either. Preferred the MGB much more.
Always did enjoy overdrive units- lots of Brit cars had them at one time, Triumphs, MG's, Humbers etc etc.

Need one now to fit onto our LandRover Defender - damm thing is making me deaf at any kind of speed!
