Turk - I just wanted to comment on something you said in your second post on this thread: 99% of your driving was highway and you wanted to reduce your rpm's during cruising and you felt the 5th gear in the TKOII would do that. Actually, if you want to REDUCE your rpm's, go with the regular TKO with the .68 5th; the .83 in the TKOII will INCREASE your rpm's on the highway! I'm going through that battle in my mind right now (along with the 418 vs. 522 battle), because I will also do a lot of highway driving and I'm not sure I want to be doing over 3000rpm @ 75mph (TKOII). At 3000 r's in the TKO you're doing 90! -I should mention that these figures are with a 3.73 rear which is what I'm looking at (or a 3.55).......but the point is still the same.....you'll be cruising at HIGHER rpm's in the TKOII vs. the TKO. The II is supposed to be a little stronger which is what made it more appealing to me (I wasn't offered a Richmond by my salesmen) and I've already asked if you can change just the 5th gear ratio in the TKOII but was told that you can't. Just from reading some of these post, I think I may change to a 3.55 instead of the 3.73. Sounds like the 3.73 is too much.
