Thumbs up Johnny...not necessarily a "fab" plan, BUTT...

..take a look at my photo Gallery...there's a black Butler there belonging to Mike Follick. The steel guards are perforated stainless---lots of trucks have 'em. You weld LUGS onto the side-pipes and tap them. The screens can be bent easily and then drilled for bolts which go into the lugs (o'course). I'd try to cut and paste the pictures from my Gallery, but I have a wood-fired computer, and whenever I try tricky stuff, the power grid for SE New England blows or at least blinks, all my neighbors' toilets flush simultaneously and their dogs howl endlessly!
