The power brake booster needs its own vacuum connection on the intake manifold. Typically, this is on the #4 cylinder with a 3/8" pipe on the intake manifold, and a 3/8" hose to the vacuum booster.

You don't want to do this off the carb. PCV can run to carb, and other vacuum controls. Brake booster needs its own vacuum source off #4 cylinder runner.
