Labor is a major part of the cost -you are right....the people who charge the big bucks for labor are (hopefully) pro's at it though and compared to the d***king around you and I do when we "work" on our cars, they get things done fast. They also only have to things once - not eight times like I do! Then again I charge less than an eighth of what they get - free maybe?

Even so, we are talking about a relatively simple car - not a Barracuda or a Ferrari that is extremely complicated to restore correctly. I saw on the restoration of a COPO427 Camaro where they even had to duplicate the OVERSPRAY for gods sake....details like that on a Cobra are not required due to the custom nature of the car to begin with...in my opinion.
