Ron,

Your are so right! I ment to say after 1969. That was the first your for the air pumps, etc. For cars before 1969 there is no testing. As you can see from the postings above there are rumors of changes for "kit cars" (I hate that term) but no one so far can say or has said for sure that there is no more testing.

All I know for sure is my car is registered as a 1995 (the build year of the chassis) and on my latest renewal notice it indicated I needed an emissions test. Note I had sent in my change of address form months earlier but with the normal speed of the State Bureaucracy the notice address had not been change, but when I went down to the DOL office their computers had the changed address.

Sorry for the confusion.
