I like to instruct the first timers. Most of them are very timid about really running hard their first time out. It is the guys that have run a couple of years in the Cobra that make me nervous. I can usually tell by half a lap if my student is going to get us in trouble. If he scares me I'm outta there.
Somebody came up with a good line a few years ago regarding first time students and I always use it. " Don't try to impress me cause you can't and don't try to scare me cause I already am".
