Thanks for the compliment - the credit for the fit and finish really belongs to the builder, Fred Gimbel!

The TCI disintegrated at around 800 miles. Don't know why. It filled the C6 with what looked like blasting sand, kind of a black, gritty substance. Both came out; the converter was replaced with an Edge Racing converter and the C6 was totally disassembled, cleaned and redone. Some fairly major parts had to be replaced. Another learning experience, I suppose.

Don't know if the converter was not up to the engine's power, but have heard others say TCI stuff can fail where other brands don't - that's purely third hand hearsay. Needless to say I'm not going to try another TCI.

The car now has another 3600 miles on it without further trans problems
