A man was driving home from working after a hard day at the office. He's doing 70 when suddenly, he sees flashing lights in his rear-view mirror. Not thinking, he steps on the gas and speeds up to 100! He then decides he should pull over because he's being stupid. He rolls down his window for the officer and the officer says "Okay, I'm off in 10 minutes, so I don't feel like writing up a ticket. If you can give me an excuse I've never heard before for speeding up like that, I'll let you go." The driver thought for a second and replied, "My wife ran off with a cop last week and I thought you were trying to give her back." The officer responded, "Have a nice day."
