I have a Dove tunnel wedge it fits the 427 low riser (Large ports) Not talking about 390 Fairlane or Cobra Jet but 427
Low riser heads have large rectangular ports. There were Canadain Super Cobra Jet heads .Factory supplied to factory sponsered cars. They always seemed to be ahead of the privatiers
Medium riser's are shorter more square than the rectangular low riser but high on the head. Large rectangular ports a little higher in head so the bend at valve wasn't so sharp.
High rise heads have a really tall narrow port.
The true tunnel port heads have tubes in ports where the push rods operate. The runners are straighter than others ,not being routed around pushrods
Next you have the SOCH which have straighter large round tunnels headed from carb to valve .With the carb off you can see the valves from the plenum.
You can see the evalution.Intakes, there are so many. In the tunnel wedge I think there at least two heights.I have the lower and hood clearance is a problem with original scoop. They make lots of scoops .If only the whole thing were planned out .I wished I had a large scoop like the Cobra spec racers now have.
