Koni vs Carrera?

Well, have been using Koni's since about '72. The really do make a difference. More adjustment available. And they last virtually forever. Have no experience with Carreras in service replacement cycle, or bushing replacement requirements.

Carrera, however, caters to the Street Rod market which the Cobra suspension is adapted from, the Mustang II, so the parts are off-the-shelf. Koni does not. And since the CR doesn't use the OEM Mustang II shock anyway, anything from Koni would have to be custom made, or carefully cross referenced to an off-the-shelf Koni unit.

The Carreras, for the moment, seem to be working OK. They are a bolt in, and run. Do, however, spring for the upper control arm mounting bracket that allows the alignment to be set with shims.
