Edley - I was thinking about going down to Cobra Univ - this spring sometime - hear it's a blast. Also heard it's more of an "intro" rather than a serious racing class though. I've been out at the LV speedway a few times at the Petty School - it was fun but the cars are so "sticky" - after the first lap or so - you soon realize that the car isn't going anywhere on you - it feels more like a video game - Cobra should be much more of a "ride".
Understand "headlites-taillites" real well. First car I ever owned was a 66 Mustang Coupe - blew the 289, got a worked 351c for free (friend had a little accident) so we shoved that into it.
BTW- at 17 yr old - method for makind engine fit was by banging in shock towers with a hammer...
Car was quick - problem was that it was so front heavy that I couldn't go around a corner without spinning out if I even touched on the gas peddle - again solution at that age was to load the trunk with concrete blocks...
I have a feeling that this should be a similar type of ride - at least I hope so!
Was also thinking of going down to the Bondurant school down in AZ - for a 3 or 4 day class. General opinion seems to be that's it's the better school to go to.
But I'm up for cobra U. - do you know what the spring schecdule is like?
