AFR uses the rule of thumb:
HP (potential) = 0.2575*number of cyl.* CFM of intake at peak cam lift.

Which for 8 cylinder is like 2 times the CFM of the intake. For the AFR 225 and an 8 cyl.:

HP = 0.2575 * 8 * 315 CFM (~at 0.574") = 634 HP

Mine made 615.
