Hey Brian,

Dennis Gage really is a pretty cool guy. I've spent some time with him. Had lunch and took him for a spin in my Cobra. he makes his home in Evansville, IN where the headquarters of My Classic Car is. He was kind enough to get me on his show and asked me to put my car on display at the reception for Autofest 98, which I did. My Contemporary was one of three cars at the reception. The others were a 1913 Indy car and a 1936 Rolls. Not bad for a glass copy.

I don't know if I have any pull with him anymore, but I'll try. I'll also get hold of his partner Brad Kimmel (that's the Bradley-David Prod.) Keep in mind though, these TV shows are usually filmed (and planned) up to a year in advance of being aired. It may be too late for this year's event to fit into their schedule.

I do know this though, Dennis REALLY likes Cobras and so do Brad and his wife. After taking the couple for rides, Brad came close to buying mine. (wish he had)

Dennis and Brad are both really nice people, but they are busy too, so don't get hurt feelings if they don't jump in your laps.

On the Leno thing. Has anyone considered asking him to be the Master of Ceremonies? Wall of people or not, it might be something he would be interested in.

Several years ago, we had him lined up to be Senior Judge and MC for the Forest Grove Concours d' Elegance. Don't remember now why that didn't come together, but he is approachable. Our rotary club is notoriously cheap, so it was probably money. If cost is an issue, it is probably not wise to ask him. At the very least, he would need to be offered full expenses I'm sure.

Al
