Even if he does buy a partially built kit, I'm sure he will be pulling a lot of the car apart anyway. I am new at this but I have put a part on the chassis, then removed and repositioned and/or re-designed. After I am happy with the component I go to another part and put it on the chassis. Pretty soon I am back to the part I put on and find out that the next component interfers with the component I thought I had perfected. I hate specialty headers!!!
My point after this long drawn out post is that it is up to the builder to make sure he is happy with what he produces. Sure I have not driven my Cobra yet, but I am having the time of my life bringing it to life. It has actually become a priority to touch every bolt in the car.
