Fordnut, thanks, I will try running negative jumpers from the battery and see what happens. Almost the entire harness is grounded through one main ground lug on the cowl brace behind the dash. The cowl brace is connected to the body on a Unique and then bolted to the frame. Perhaps not the ideal place for the main ground. You've got me thinking now that maybe I should extend that ground lug and run it directly to the frame. Hmmmm.
Steve, what I have is actually an installation manual for the Prodesign wiring harness. It's a 61 page book that has hookup instructions by number for each individual component/gauge/switch, etc. There is no actual complete wiring diagram but a series of cross references by wire #, harness section # and page #. There are drawings of the connections at each component and a fuseblock schematic showing each fuse's connection by wire #. If your car is using the Prodesign harness, I would highly recommend that you order a manual from Unique. If there is something specific you need, I certainly can copy that page or section and email it to you. Let me know.
Wilf, It would be great to see a shootout between the manufacturers, like Dax, Crendon, GD, etc on Top Gear. Quick question; I've seen pictures and specs of one mean looking, low slung Cobra called a Fieldbay Magnum (I think). Do you know much about that car?
