I agree with Cal Metal.
Enjoy it this year for a bit before you start taking it apart. If you decide to convert it, collect the parts and do it next winter. The good driving weather is almost here.
BTW: My previous Unique did not have MGB front, it had the coilover Carreras. My friend's Butler has the MGBs though, and its not too bad for a while...
If you go with the Carreras/coilovers later, make sure you get the shorter shocks from Carrera (as for Ben). Not the one's that Unique still uses. I went through 4 sets of springs (10" and 12"), my friend went through 4 sets; and two sets of shocks trying to get it right with an FE in the car. Once we got it right, you could lower and raise the car with plenty of adjustability; and NO MORE HARSH RIDE! It made all the difference in the world once we got it spot on.
Also, if you buy the control arms from Unique, the bushings are really really tight; they need to be opened up just a bit, grease fittings installed and checked for free movement of the upper/lower control arms "before you install them". The Chevron stinky/sticky industrial grease works the best and it stays in the bushings. Make sure the sway bar heim joints/rod is not too long - if you lower the car a bit in front. I had to shorten the rod 3/4" of an inch to get it to move freely without bind. When you do it, the best thing to do is to be sure everything moves up/down freely before installing the new coilover shocks/springs. If its tight, keep working on it till it moves freely. Once all these issues were worked out, it was much smoother in front. It was a small hassle, but worth it in the end. Good Luck!
