Many, many thanks to you all!
These responses are EXACTLY why I read so many threads, even though they don't concern my type of car or engine. My THANKS to you all!
Now here's YET another thread high-jacking. The reason I was digging up the Windsor stroker info from you guys was that was what I was contemplating for my Butler. It presently has a Cleveland 390 in it. I have now been informed by Eric Miller, my local engine and race-car guy, that the "Cleveland should stay in the car---it's a strong engine and you can pull much more out of it than it's presently showing." Eric also said that the Cleveland is arguably a stronger block. Ditto w/ Bill Parham---he corroborated everything that Eric said. Both are now barking at me to let them do the rebuild.
What say ye? Is the Cleveland a "keeper"? Eric wants to do a complete rebuild and add fuel injection from some super place in Arkansas called "Street and Performance". The F/I unit is some droopy, curly looking deal, but Eric says that it will make the Cleveland a new and hyper-powerful unit. Agree? Disagree? More chat is welcome!!! I learn from every posting.
