Thanks for all the comments guys, I have never been to Texas, my wife has been to the Dallas area once to visit her niece, she said it was ok. My parents are from Oklahoma originally, came to California when they were really young, like 9 or 10, thay visit every couple of years there now, my Dad says I wont like the humidity, chiggers and snakes
I looked at a couple of real estate pages, but I don't know the neighborhoods, but it sure seems like you can get alot of house for the money, how close can you live to the beach in either deer park area or port arthur and not have to commute 2 hours?? I am 10 minutes away here so I guess I am a little spoiled, sorry for any dumb questions or comments!!
