Default Priming

I'm just a little ways behind you Randy. Just took posession of my ERA 647 and I've taken the edge off the mold seams. Needs a bunch more sanding and some epoxy filler before I even consider the primer. But I'm reading up. And I know I should put an epoxy primer on after I get it all sanded. Just not sure what type and where to find an epoxy primer.
There seem to be a multitude of "spiders" or "stars" in the gel coat. I don't think the mold was either cleaned and prepped properly or the application of the gel coat was pretty hastily done.
I thought sand blasting them to get the crud out and a good surface for bonding would be smart.

Any thoughts guys?

One other thing. What do you think about the rubberized undercoat for the wheel wells? I was thinking of keeping the bottom "clean" but coating with the clear 3M for rocker panels.
I'd like to protect the fenders though, from rocks and gravel.

any help appreciated.
