The key to a good or great car is the builder and the componets used. If you have the skill and or the money you can make most any Kit into a great car. If you don't feel comfortable with building it yourself you must do your homework to find a builder or look at a turnkey, but look at cars that they have built and talk to the car owners. It takes time but it will be worth the time spent
Welcome aboard and good luck with finding the right kit or car.
Definitely turn-key. I don't have the time right now to dedicate days, weeks, months to build a kit. I'd love to build one some day but for now I'd like to purchase one already built. I have also considered a used one as well.

Thanks. I'll do some searches for threads on some good builders. Anyone you recommend?
