Ben,
Your machine shop would, in a nutshell, bolt your main caps on and run a 4' long boring rod through them to assure that they are all perfectly in line with another, thus preventing any uneven loads on the crank. At least that's the way I understand it. I'll tell ya, after seeing some of the numbers that guys get from straight 351W's, I think I'd take the extra cash you'd have to put into a stroker and add for a roller cam or some other goodies. Of course, not going the stroker route just leaves a little of that cash in your pocket for some other upgrades, like better brakes. If you giver' more GO, she'll need more WHOA!
