i just wanted a 427
i will have one with my 427 windsor which will be a lot lighter than an FE. i even had a guy at work said he would trade me a 460 for my 302 spare motor.
i just read so many horror stories about the FE having problem with the front bearing not getting enough
oil etc. i just wanted the best for my hot rod.
someone said i have a cobra what does it matter what brand it is?
well it mattered to me alot. i did a lot of research before i found B&B had the best bang for the buck with their dropped floor pans, x frame 2x4 construction and thick fiberglass handlaid that you did not have to prop up or brace any time you took the body off. it is almost seamless, i hear these horror stories about people having to fix seams and i thank the good lord i am not in that boat.
i would have liked to have purchased their narrowed 9" rear end, but i could not afford it right now and they made the brackets to fit my 8.8 tbird rear end. they have worked with me in every aspect of my build even though i did not purchase all my parts from them.
as to the sound, i have a 302 GT mustang that scares the neighbors with its v8 rumble. i have to put it in overdrive and get off the gas whenever the cops are around. a ford v8 is a ford v8 whether it be a 265 or a 460.
