Well, here we go again. In response to several questions, I have mounted one of the FE valve cover adapters on a small block cylinder head and taken several different views to try and clarify any concern. As one can see, there is a 1" overhang on each corner of the cylinder head on the intake manifold side of the head. Also, a very small overhang exits along the intake manifold edge of the head that does not interfere with the intake manifold at all as evidenced in the second and third photos. When viewing the FE valve cover from the top the overhang is barely noticeable. It's quite amazing just how close in overall size the FE mounting flange is to the small block flange. At least you can get a better grasp of how these adapters fit from the latest photos. I will try to get a photo of the finished setup on the 351W in my Cobra by Saturday.
