Mr Fixit is right. In my thirty-plus years in a Ford dealeship I have seen several engines damaged by sugar in the fuel system. The amount of damage will vary with the amount used and amount of running time. It will go beyond restriction of fuel system components. The caramel like deposits will coat the pistons and rings.
