So ClubCobra gets a "readers wives" section after all! Wehey!

Nasty burn though, she has my sympathies.

I used that heatproof exhaust wrap on the headers, which lowered engine bay temps a lot, but had the downside of raising the sidepipe temp a great deal, which made me even more cautious about entering/leaving the car! It's hot enough to cook your breakfast on now!
. Think I should have wrapped that exhaust bandage around my legs instead...no more burns!

I did move onto the heat shields, like the trucks use..still hot but they look great I think. I tried using mimimal amount of fastenings to prevent heat soak from the side pipes, but there's still the radiant heat problem. I guess caution is the word here, and perhaps a sign on the passenger side "beware of the exhaust"!
