Mr. Fixit, No I had a seperate rubber piece that seals the shifter hole. However, I did have a mid-shift conversion on my Tremec. This piece may have been used if the owner was using the rear shifter location, as most Cobras do, hence the forward facing shifter. I did not want the forward facing shifter. My shifter is quite different and came with it's own boot and a block-off plate for the rear hole. This piece still would not fit over a shifter (3/8in. hole) and has no holes for bolts....the metal ring is only about 3/8in. wide. Still curious...may have to call Tremec with this part number for info.
