No longer have a military connection. I've been out of the USAF since '84. Since being laid off last June, I've had zero (count 'em) reply's to job offers of the 168 resume's that I've sent out. I used to teach cooking and was a Sous chef in Detroit at 14 years old being paid under the table. I had heard that the Marines were looking for good cooks in the desert of Kuwait. You know, a shower every three weeks, living in a tent....Not exactly thrilled about the idea but, I have a baby to feed and nothing else is panning out.
