Some thoughts and advice for you, Dane.
First, and most important...don't choose a color based on what you see on your monitor screen! Variations in monitor color accuracy and 'temperature' may show a shade one way on line and quite different in person. Further, the lighting in play when a photo was taken can distort the true hue of a color.... but, on-line pictures can certainly get you in the ball-park.
Now, two tips.... plan on going to a large event, like Carlisle or, certainly, DVSF. Keep a notebook in your pocket and seek out the cars you like and talk to the owner. (DVSF is great, because the cars in attendance are numbered and you can alway contact someone after the event.)
The second is to cruise the car dealers (if you are going with a contemporary color).. new car tissues on the window states the Paint Name, and it is easy to get Paint Codes for them.
