It's pretty easy. Get a piece of 1.5"X12/18"long pipe, put a collar or nipple on one end of the pipe, slide the pipe over the axle shaft and butt the non nippled end against the CV joint. Cover the floor with newspaper, it's gonna' get messy. Lay the assembly on the newspaper. Whack the nipple'd or collar'd with your dodge tool,(hammer), two or three sharp whacks. The CV joint will fall off onto the newpaper making a huge mess, but the pieces will be seperated. Re-assembly usually slides together without problems.
