My engine uses the late-model Chevy 454 hi-po rods.
I don't know about a new crank. My builder stroked my engine by starting with a 428 crank, then ground the rod journals to fit the 454 rods. In the process of grinding, he offset the rod journal centerline towards the outboard side. This resulted in an engine displacement of 484 cubic inches. IMHO, that's about as far as you want to stroke one of these beasts.
