do not use the 390 rods, which for soem reason were built into my motor.
two left sideways without a chance to recover much of the engine.
if I knew I had invested my last money to get a set of decent steel rods.
Chevys... - i even have a set of Carrillos for a 454... - if I only had known.

that happened at about 3500 rpm, downhill in second gear under acceleration. I was able to catch the car. sliding voilently sideways.
