CSX 4027 / Steve,

I've wondered the same thing. The Slabside with wires is my favorite Cobra of all time. Set up mostly how you described, with a 5-speed too; maybe a small dual carb setup. I'm probably 1 out of 50 on this, but will eventually sell my ERA 427 to buy one of these. Don't get me wrong, I love my ERA, but the purist side of me says I will retire or pass on with a slabside wire-wheel car in my garage. I'd pay around 45K for a new, quality, well built slabside car. I will most likely seek a well built fiberglass body over an aluminum one in this range, if it's available 5-10 years from now when I'm done with my 427 SC.
