I have bought a 90 degrees angle and transmission speedo adaptor recently to install on my Doug Nash 5 speed transmission...I think that is exactly equivalent to a modern Richmond 5 speed.
That was to connect to the Smiths speedo onboard my TVR car...sorry not quiete cobra stuff but close!What was my deception finding out my speedo (the original 140 mph Smiths found on TVRs) would read in reverse gear only!

Is there a cheap solution here? Could changing a different pattern final plastic gear,the transmission one, could cure the prob.? The speedo cable turns anticlockwise when facing its extremity sat in the driver's position. Anybody knows if Autometer would have a Smiths-look-alike speedo that would fit my anticlockwise cable? Maybe the cobra reverse speedo would be a match...
Suggestions?
