I think too many people expect too much from the car. Marketing didn't help either. They get mad if you mention retro and this car together. The Marauder did't sell well at all, and I think a lot of that had to do with lack of perceived performance, I mean a Honda Accord would out run it. If it had a Supercharged Cobra R motor, either car would be a better seller.
I have not ridden in a T-bird, but I hear the ride and handling are more like an older Buick and I think people are looking for BMW/Mercedes/Lexus ride performance.
The looks are fine, but Boyd Cottington's version looked a LOT better.
A T-bird that drives like an M3. . . I would seriously look at.
