Got the set up from John York. Remember about being a novice. I tried to get as many parts as I could before I actually started the build.
John provided a used Lucas ( I think) unit from an MG I believe with new arms and blades. Used arm boxes (the splines were pretty bad), and I had to make up new tubes and shorten the gear cable to suit. I also had to take out the park cam and reverse it so the blades would park to the drivers side, like original.
They are just for show now because something happened in the dash switch and I just disconnected the power lead. When I feel ambitious I will take the dash off someday and fix it.
The dash was a bit of a struggle with all the gages and the hearter defrost unit behind there and ofcourse there is no way to mount the dash to the body like the MANUAL says to. I made three brackets off the firewall to mount the dash.
Who needs wipers, just put on some Ol' Rainex and no problem. Been caught in the rain on several occasions. Just go fast no problem.
